Regenerative Farming

It’s all about the soil. Our cattle, pigs and laying hens all play an integral role in rebuilding healthy soil on our chemical-free pastures. Utilizing rotational grazing of our cattle and laying hens provides the beneficial environment for regeneration of the soil. Laying hens follow the cattle to disburse the natural fertilizer of manure, while providing soil disturbance that offers new life to ancient seeds. Resting each pasture in the rotation is essential to allow for plant and root regeneration, in addition to revitalization of the soil’s microbial life.

Pasture Raised Beef

At Greenway Farms, our cattle spend their life on pasture, grazing rotationally throughout the year on a variety of grasses and plants. They are bucket-fed a minimal amount of grain daily which contains no antibiotics, growth hormones or chemicals. Bucket-feeding allows us to interact with the cattle daily, creating a calm environment for the animals. Raising cattle this way is more costly and takes more time, but it ensures a tasty, more tender and nutrient-dense cut of beef.

Pasture Raised Pork

Pigs at Greenway Farms are raised on pastures dedicated specifically for their use. These pastures provide plenty of fresh air and sunshine, acres to roam and root, and have available shelter and plenty of water. Our pigs benefit from a mix of corn and grains that are free from antibiotics, chemicals or growth-hormones. This allows the pigs to live as nature intended resulting in a difference you can taste.

We proudly offer certified-organic, pasture-raised chicken from Grateful Pastures farm, in Mansfield, Georgia.

Free Range Eggs

As part of our rotational grazing practices, the benefit provided by Greenway Farms laying hens is vital to our soil health. We utilize custom mobile roosting wagons surrounded by mobile fencing, allowing the hens to roam our fields, free to peck and scratch as nature intended. Our hens enjoy grasses, seeds, bugs and berries in addition to the specially formulated laying pellets available to them.

Our eggs are gathered daily, then washed, candled, graded and packed by hand, which provides a guaranteed fresh, nutrient-dense egg.
